I like our group presentation of the story on the stage. I am play the Mr. Mc Gregor`s in this story is a small role and I think I play is not very will.

    (1) Do you like your presentation of the story on the stage?

Yes, I love it very much. It was a special experience for me. We discussed how to present the best presentation and allotted everyone the role. Made the stage property and rehearsed at the night. The short five minute on the stage, we did our best to show the Benjamin Bunny story. I thought that was a excellent for us.

    1. The Benjamin Bunny meet the Peter and they go to the Mr. McGregor’s garden to take back Peter’s clothes and shoes.
    2. They meet the cat and they’re hide into the basket.
    3. Old Mr. Benjamin to save them.
    b. Did you do some changes to the original story? Why did you make the changes?
At the end, we don’t present the part of Mrs. Rabbit forgive Peter. Because we don’t have the role of Mrs. Rabbit.
(3)What improvement will you make if you are going to present the play again on the stage? Why?
Perhaps, we can present the story more vivid. Practicing more that can be prefect.

  3. (1) Do you like your presentation of the story on the stage?
Actually, I am quite enjoying our presentation on the stage. We made a lot of props in order to let our group members blend into atmosphere of the story. It is useful and gives us courage to perform well. Besides, by participating the presentation, I have learned how to utilize our body language and facial expressions to vivify the story, which can’t be learned from the textbook.

    a. Were you trying to be 100% "faithful" to the original story?

We adopt small part of the story. I think it is important to demonstrate something different from the original version. If we perform the same plot of the story, it would be tedious and dull. Moreover, it will be easier for us to represent the characters of the story in our own way. In addition, each groups is unique and special. As far as I am concerned, creativity plays a pivotal role in presenting story. That’s the only matters. The reason why the story of Benjamin Bonny prevails for century is because the descendants add new materials to the story. Therefore, people will never be fed up with the old story.

(3)What improvement will you make if you are going to present the play again on the stage? Why?
In this presentation, I think I have become more confident and articulated. Furthermore, I create some dialogues between the characters with a view to give the sense of fresh to the audience. The most important of all, all of our team members put bonny ears on our heads , providing the identity of the characters. We didn’t put on the identification card last time. We all agree that it is necessary to wear something to let our audience distinguish the differences between us. For one thing, it make it clear for the identity of the roles. For anther is to show our emphasis on this assignment.

  5. 1. I like my role to be Benjamin because I want to challenge myself. I always think that my body movements are not active enough. However, it seems that this time I messed it up again. In addition, I’m not good at memorizing the lines. Other roles on our team were doing very well. I’m proud of them and I hope I can catch up with them! ( ̄▽ ̄)

    2. We acted it out literally. But we had two gifted stage properties makers. Doris and Alisa are amazing! They helped to make many interesting and cute stage stuff for us to play with. They are so imaginative that they made stage stuff out of recyclable cardboards in half the day! Thanks to them, we did a complete and wonderful job! (≧▽≦)

    3. I think the whole story is so long that we should adapt it into a relatively short story. Some of the descriptions can be made into conversations so that the narrator has time to rest. We can talk about how the characters are going to be presented rather than figure it out individually.

  6. (1) Do you like your presentation of the story on the stage?

I like my presentation of the story. I become better and better than before. I was not nervous and try to calm down myself. Maybe others didn’t know my performance is different than the Peter Rabbit (Bunny) presentation. But I become confident. Thank Vinia to let me have a chance to show on the stage again.

    (2) Did you "adopt" or "adapt" the original story?
    a. Were you trying to be 100% "faithful" to the original story?
    b. Did you do some changes to the original story? Why did you make the changes?

Our group adopted maybe 70% of the original story. However, we also adapted and make some changes to the original one. Because Benjamin Bunny is a long story, we condensed some plot. Therefore, we can focus and put emphasis on the action among Benjamin, Peter and Benjamin’s father.

(3)What improvement will you make if you are going to present the play again on the stage? Why?

If I could play again on the stage, I would try my best to speak slowly and clearly. Because I am a narrator, I should let other classmates know what I did say. Besides, I should give my group some hinds about their stage lines. Last but not the least, I should feel easy and comfortable on the stage. I should force myself to be comfortable being an uncomfortable situation.

  7. (1)Do you like your presentation of the story on the stage?

In fact, I’m quite satisfied with the presentation of my group. We have pretty stage properties. Although we didn’t perform the show smoothly, we knew what we lacked. Next time, we could make up the shortcomings so that we would do it much better.

    (2) Did you "adopt" or "adapt" the original story?
    a. Were you trying to be 100% "faithful" to the original story?
    b. Did you do some changes to the original story? Why did you make the changes?

    a. Yes. We performed what the exactly the story was. We did not change any plot. But I think maybe we could adapt the story a little. After all, the presentations of the book and the performance are quite different.

(3)What improvement will you make if you are going to present the play again on the stage? Why?

Maybe we could try to present the show without the narrator. It is much exciting to play the show by ourselves. Without the narrator, we have to memorize the whole story clearly. It is not acceptable that any hesitance during the show.
